ADAM GREEN I was born in Liverpool and my family moved to Scotland when I was 2 where I lived for almost 25 years. I left school when I was 16 with my now wife Ruth. I went straight into the decorating trade where my love affair with all things decorating began. I worked with a large decorating company near Glasgow for around 7 Years were I completed a 4 year apprenticeship. Ruth and I left Scotland in 1989 to move to Hampshire where I worked for a major decorating company for around 2 Years. I took the decision to set up my own Decorating company working both in the domestic and commercial sectors and within 2 years I built it up to 35 decorators turning over circa £1.5 Million per year. We carried out hundreds of high end projects for the best interior designers and architects in the uk. These projects included both painting and hanging some of the most delicate and expensive wallpapers on the market. During this time our company became the recommended decorating contractor for the likes of Zoffany, Sanderson, Cole & Son and Colefax & Fowler amongst others. My company also undertook the the complete re decoration of the prestigious “Turner Room“ for the National Trust . I then was approached to take on the role of sales and technical Director for a paint brand called PAINTFINITY growing the sales from a standing start to circa £450K within the first 3 years working with most of the top Hotels in the UK. In 2017 I took the difficult decision to leave PAINTFINITY and set up HANFORD + GREEN a truly unique paint was born. Over these last 40 years or so I have worked with some of the top designers, architects, top hotels and therefore gathered so much experience in both the technical application of paint and how best to specify the right products to get the best results. At 55 years of age I thought I would look to go back to the bit about the industry that i love and thats back on the tools . Never been happier 😊
