I have over 8 years of English teaching experience (both Literature and Language) with a range of age groups from year 7 to 13. I offer a tailored approach to lessons, adapting to the individual needs of the student and lessons could typically involve revision technique, exam technique, specific skill based activities (e.g. analysis, evaluation) and I am also able to provide guidance for oral assessments if needed. I currently tutor alongside working part time as an English teacher in a secondary school-where I have had great success. I also have knowledge and experience of both AQA and Edexcel (Pearson) exam boards and their mark schemes/ curriculums and criteria. I have taught both specifications in addition to being an exam marker for both exam boards and could adapt to other exam boards too. This experience has allowed not only for me to obtain a better insight into the exam boards requirements but has also given me extensive experience of the texts studied, particularly for Literature.
