Job Details
I am based in SW153PW & looking for an experienced chartered /ex chartered, if retired, structural engineer assessment to understand viability & estimated cost for structural services required - I would like engineer to visit to see the works & give me a quote for:
1. Relocating existing staircase to converted loft from small room to hallway, if possible, & make good small room.
2. There are deep eaves on 3 sides of converted loft with no water tank in eaves anymore. I am looking to enlarge two very narrow openings, one at back & one at front to access the eaves - also to increase number of openings - in some sections behind knee wall, there is an Apex (A) structure - can provide some photos of this.
3.I am looking to create bathroom in the converted loft on top of existing small bathroom on 1st floor on semi-detached side of house to use existing soil pipe. structure behind knee wall on this side is Apex or V & no openings exist on this side of loft room
4.small room with existing loft staircase has a large window overlooking porch - I would like to convert this window to a balcony door & tiled roof of porch to a balcony - two doors down, there is a house with original balcony.
5. At rear of house, there is 6’ space between conservatory extension & toilet extension - this space contains main sewerage drain connecting to soil pipe for bathroom on ground floor & 1st floor. access to drains must be available & subject to approval by Thames water - I am looking to put some kind of structure on it with opening on floor to still access drains and a door at end of that space between conservatory and toilet - is this possible?
This is a semi-detached house with approved converted loft & extension to rear & side plus porch in the front completed by the previous owners in 1997/1998- Plans & drawings available for extension and regulatory certificate only for the loft.
I am flexible and happy to have the work done immediately or later ie within 3 months.
