Installation: Professional fitting of Herringbone Click LVT across Hall, Kitchen, Living, and 2 Bedrooms.
Layout: Pattern must be centered/aligned from the main hallway to ensure a seamless flow between rooms (Japandi aesthetic).
Prep: Client will remove existing carpets/grippers prior to arrival.
2. SUBFLOOR PREPARATION (Essential)
Moisture Control: Application of a Liquid DPM (e.g., Setcrete Rapid Set) to the ground floor slab.
Priming & Leveling: Concrete must be primed and leveled using a High-Performance Self-Levelling Compound.
Standard: Subfloor must meet SR1 standards (max 3mm deviation over 2m). Surfaces must be mechanically scraped and vacuumed.
3. MATERIALS & FINISH
Flooring: 5mm–6mm Rigid Core Click LVT.
Underlay: High-density 1mm–1.5mm LVT-specific underlay with vapor barrier.
Expansion: 7mm–10mm gap maintained at all perimeters.
Detailing: All door frames/architraves must be undercut (multi-tool) for the floor to sit flush underneath. No silicone/caulk gaps around frames.
Transitions: Seamless flow preferred. If bars are required, use low-profile matching MDF-wrapped sections (no metal).
Skirting: [Fit new skirting over floor / Fit matching scotia to existing].
4. CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
Provide a 12-month workmanship guarantee.
Use a hygrometer to test slab moisture before installation.
Estimate wastage at 12–15% for the herringbone pattern.
Confirm acclimatization period (min 48 hours on-site).
